A new study conducted by Collage Group has predicted that minority and multicultural Americans will constitute the majority of the U.S. population by 2050.
The study, which utilized data from the American Community Survey, showcases a significant increase of nearly four million individuals in the multicultural population of America since 2021. The study reveals that the current population consists of approximately 192.2 million white Americans, constituting 58 percent of the total population, while black, Hispanic, Asian and other ethnicities account for around 141.1 million Americans.
In 2050, the Hispanic American population is expected to experience the most substantial growth, with an expected increase of approximately six percent, whereas the white population is projected to decrease by around 11 percent.
Sudipti Kumar, the director of Multicultural Insights at Collage Group, emphasizes the growing influence of multicultural populations.
“The growth in Multicultural populations in the U.S. means these segments wield immense influence. Their desire for diverse perspectives and a deep understanding of their cultural identity by brands and organizations will be ever more critical in the future,” Kumar said.
The study delves into the reasons behind these demographic shifts, attributing the growth in the Asian American population primarily to immigration.
A recent analysis conducted by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), an anti-immigration think tank, delves into the reasons behind the significant increase in the foreign-born population in the U.S., both legally and illegally.
According to the CIS, one major factor is the impact of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on immigration processes. The analysis pointed out that during the pandemic, the processing of visas overseas experienced a significant slowdown. The CIS argued that while the pandemic disrupted immigration processes, there was no inherent necessity for legal immigration to return to pre-pandemic levels, as the number of immigrants admitted is a discretionary policy.
The study also discussed the rise in illegal immigration and the surge in encounters at the U.S. borders, with approximately eight million reported “encounters” from January 2021 to October, reaching a record high for 34 consecutive months.
Court records and information from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) indicated that around 2.7 million inadmissible aliens have been released into the country since the beginning of the Biden administration. The number of “gotaways,” individuals who evade apprehension at the border, more than doubled to 391,000 in 2021 compared to 2019, before the pandemic.
The CIS also cites campaign promises and policy decisions such as ending the Migrant Protection Protocols and scaling back Title 42 as other contributing factors to the increase in illegal immigration. Additionally, the CIS lists the significant decline in interior enforcement and legal visitors overstaying their authorized stay as other factors.
In turn, the Collage Group suggests that the evolving demographics may impact political outcomes, with over 30 percent of Hispanic, Black and Asian Americans identifying themselves as politically liberal. The American Immigration Council (AIC) backed this claim in their recent study, indicating that most foreign-born voters historically lean towards Democratic presidential candidates.
Meaning to say, the 2024 election could be a tough nut for conservatives to crack because of the ever-changing demographics of this country. (Related: America’s 2024 election may be decided by 23 million ILLEGAL ALIENS.)
In response to these findings, Representative Mike Johnson (R-La.) warned the public that President Joe Biden may be seeking to maximize the participation of illegal migrants in the 2024 elections to increase his chances of winning against native-born Americans.
