In early June, as riots, looting, and acts of violence were occurring in several major cities around the United States in the wake of the George Floyd incident, Attorney General William Barr said in a press conference that there was evidence that “foreign actors” had a hand in aggravating the situation.
“While many have peacefully expressed their anger and grief, others have hijacked protests to engage in lawlessness, violent rioting, arson, looting of businesses, and public property assaults on law enforcement officers and innocent people, and even the murder of a federal agent,” Barr said.
“We have evidence that Antifa and other similar extremist groups, as well as actors of a variety of different political persuasions have been involved in instigating and participating in the violent activity,” Barr continued, adding: “We are also seeing foreign actors playing all sides to exacerbate the violence.”
Barr’s statement appeared to indicate that other countries were involved in the agitating, though, of course, he did not name them.
The protests and the violence continued throughout the summer, most recently manifesting itself in smaller communities like Kenosha, Wis., and Rochester, N.Y.
And intelligence reporting seen by us indicates that groups are planning for additional violence, possibly using the election results as justification (claiming that President Trump ‘stole the election’ if he wins, for instance).
But insurgencies — and that’s just what Barr really meant — take financing. They require logistics. They need planning. And they need direction. So, who is providing this kind of monetary and logistical support? Who are those “foreign actors?”
One of them could be China.
Writing at WND.com, Curtis Ellis, a senior policy adviser for America First Policy, notes that several “new developments reveal the breadth and depth of the Chinese Communist Party’s war against America.”
Among them:
— Last month, federal prosecutors charged Baimadajie Angwang, 33, a New York City police officer, “with acting as an illegal agent of the Chinese government,” to include providing the ChiComs with “intelligence about Tibetans living in the United States to officials at the Chinese consulate,” The New York Times reported.
“Angwang was being directed by the China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture, part of the CCP United Front Work Department responsible for ‘neutralizing sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority” of the CCP,’” Ellis wrote, quoting the charging documents.
The United Work Front is the official propaganda arm of the CCP, Ellis notes.
— The Chinese government typically offers targets “sweetheart deals” that can not only make them well-to-do, but which also then endear them to Beijing. Think Hunter Biden, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son, who got a $100,000 line of credit he from CCP-connected firms — after he got $1.5 billion “to set up an investment fund,” which “had all the earmarks of a classic influence operation,” Ellis wrote.
That was during Biden’s tenure as vice president; now he’s running for president, and of course, U.S. intelligence has determined that the ChiComs are pulling for him to beat Trump.
— The NBA already shills for China, mostly because the ChiComs have offered the league access to the huge Chinese market (again…money).
— Hollywood is on the Chinese hook, and now Beijing is betting that U.S. tech firms will also get on board for Biden for the same reason: Financial interests.
— China is also the darling of the U.S. mainstream media, which criticized our president for calling COVID-19 the “China virus” (because that’s where it originated).
While Barr was secretive about where the ‘foreign influence’ is coming from that is helping to fuel the unrest in America, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been more candid.
“The CCP thinks it can drown out American cries for accountability with shouts of racism. It wants to foment the kind of strife we’ve seen in Minneapolis, and Portland, and Kenosha,” he told the Wisconsin state senate last month.
Former CIA analyst Sam Faddis also notes:
A number of recent news articles have addressed the fact that funding for at least a portion of the activities of the Black Lives Movement (BLM) is coming from a pro-China group called the Chinese Progressive Association (CPA). That is absolutely true. It also does not begin to grasp the enormity of what is going on.
